Real estate chair Peter Irwin advised CPPIB on a $1bn joint venture with Alberta Investment Management Corporation and WPT Industrial Real Estate Investment Trust for the development and operation of industrial real estate assets across the US. Counsel Serhat Krause and Mesard acted for a family office in relation to the $650m investment and development of two residential towers in New York. Edward Rishty advised JP Morgan Asset Management on the $510m acquisition and financing of Groupon’s national headquarters in Chicago in a joint venture with Sterling Bay.
