Mattos Filho, Veiga Filho, Marrey Jr. e Quiroga Advogados has a notable track record for advising market-leading clients from a range of industries, most notably energy, technology, financial services and consumer goods, in a range of litigation mandates spanning the corporate, administrative, regulatory and pre-litigation spheres. Key areas of strength for the department include multimillion-dollar disputes involving public law issues and government entities, post-M&A conflicts, sensitive political matters and administrative misconduct claims. The department has recently witnessed significant growth in cases involving insurance, construction, environment and restructuring-related contentious matters. The dispute resolution team also plays a key role in the firm’s pro bono initiatives, having represented several clients in immigration, LGBTQ and Covid-19 related litigation. Maria Abreu de Moura Guido, who is proficient in securities litigation and arbitration, and Nicole Moreira de Barros Reis, a key contact for technology companies, were recently welcomed to partnership. Flavio Pereira Lima is a standout name; he handles disputes related to M&A, telecoms, banking and construction.
