Career

Lauro advises clients in all areas of antitrust law, including notifying the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) of M&A transactions, analyzing competition risks, reviewing trading and competition compliance policies, investigating anticompetitive practices, reviewing association, partnership and distribution agreements, defining and reviewing trading, compliance and competition policies, and anticompetitive conduct investigations before antitrust authorities in Brazil. His team has already negotiated and approved hundreds of transactions. Lauro also works with various markets and industries, including automotive, construction, infrastructure, energy, technology, pharmaceutical, supermarket, telecommunication and transportation. His practice also covers competition-related litigation, such as loss and damage suits, contract reviews and contractual disputes, as well as unfair competition cases.

Lauro also specializes in advising companies, investors, sponsors and financiers in relations to infrastructure, public works, public service concessions and PPPs, as well as general administrative law concerns.

Lauro a member of the Brazilian Institute of Studies on Competition, Consumer Affairs and International Trade (IBRAC), where he served as chairman between 2020 and 2021.
