Solicitor Advocate Anna Morfey, Partner at Hausfeld London, has over 15 years’ experience advising on EU/UK Competition Law issues and litigating Competition Damages claims, both in relation to abuse of dominance and cartels. Her litigation experience extends across the High Court, CAT, Court of Appeal, Supreme Court and, at European level, before the General Court and Court of Justice.

She has represented household-name clients in some of the most high-profile cartel damages claims including Trucks, Bearings, Power Cables, PU Foam, Smart Card Chips, Industrial Bags, Carbon & Graphite Products, Elevators & Escalators and Marine Hoses. She is involved in investigations of abuse of dominance claims and merger investigations related to major tech companies, including acting for vertical search engines in damages claims against Google and intervening in litigation in the European courts in the Google Shopping cases, and advising an interested third-party in the EU’s review of the Google/Fitbit merger. Anna has also acted for the class representative in a collective action claim against several train operating companies alleging stand-alone abuses of dominance.

Anna is co-chair of the IBA’s Antitrust Litigation Working Group and sits on the GCR Editorial Board.  She participates in the UK’s CAT User Group and the Joint Working Party which engages with government and the CMA regarding competition matters.
