Position

Jeanette Holland offers over two decades of experience as a pensions lawyer. She is Head of Pensions of Baker McKenzie's Pensions Practice in London and sits on the Steering Committee of the Firm's European Pensions Group. She was part of the practitioner-working group formed by the Treasury to consult in relation to the European Directive on Institutions for Occupational Retirement Provision (IORPS). Jeanette was also part of the practitioner group formed by the DWP to consider the new money purchase definition and related legislation. Jeanette advises both companies and trustees in all aspects of pension law, and often manages large scale projects involving the mitigation of pensions risks. She routinely handles clearance issues and has extensive experience in dealing with the Pensions Regulator.

Articled Baker McKenzie; qualified 1991; partner 1997 to date. Co-secretary of the Association of Pension Lawyers Legislative and Parliamentary Committee having previously been on the International Committee for many years. Part of the practitioner working group formed by the DWP to discuss the new money purchase definition and related legislation. Also member of the Law Society and the Society of Pensions Professionals. Often quoted in pensions journals, most recently in Pensions Expert. Speaks regularly at internal and external conferences, trustee training seminars and workshops.
