Partner. Ines K Radmilovic is co-head of the M&A/Corporate Practice Group in Budapest. She advises both multinationals and blue chip Hungarian companies concerning a range of complex international and cross border M&A transactions, in Hungary and in the region, across a range of industry sectors, including for example, IT/C, healthcare, manufacturing and financial services; as well as advising on corporate reorganizations, joint ventures and private equity investments. Ines serves as principal liason to IT/C and healthcare multinationals concerning their Hungarian operations. She also counsels on complex cross border reorganizations, mergers, spin offs and wind ups.


Ines joined Baker & McKenzie Chicago in 1988, becoming Partner in 1996. She has been resident in Budapest since 1992. Ines is a member of the Firm's Nominating Committee, and previously served as chairperson of the Firm's European M&A Practice Group Steering Committee and member of its Global M&A Steering Committee. She is a former member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Hungary's Corporate Governance Committee. She regularly edits and publishes articles in the Firm's publications, as well as in third party publications, and has been a frequent seminar speaker within and outside Hungary, on corporate and M&A as well as IT/C topics.

  • The New Turkish Code of Obligations: Important Changes for Leases of Residential & Business Premises

    For decades, the primary Turkish laws governing leases of residential and business premises have been the Law on Leasing Real Property dated May 27, 1955 (the “Lease Law”) and the Turkish Code of Obligations No. 818 dated April 22, 1926 (the “Obligations Code”). Both of these laws, however, will be repealed and replaced with the new Turkish Code of Obligations No. 6098 dated January 11, 2011 (the “New Obligations Code”), which will enter into force on July 7, 2012.
