Cristina has significant experience in a wide range of intellectual property matters with particular emphasis in trademarks, designs, unfair competition, copyright and advertisement. She provides general and contractual advice and handles litigious work before Civil, Commercial and Community Courts. During the last years she has handled significant contentious cases involving cutting-edge issues on her area of expertise for clients in many sectors (textile, luxury and consumer goods, food and beverages, internet, technology and electronics).


Cristina joined the Firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group in 2006 and became partner in 2011.

Baker McKenzie's practice head Carles Prat leads a team that includes intellectual property specialist Cristina Duch and employment-focused Mireia Sabaté. In a recent highlight, the department advised international food retailer DIA on the competitive sale process of four warehouses located in Spain and Portugal. The firm is also assisting key client Miquel Alimentacio with plans to expand abroad, particularly with the brand management aspects of the company's international expansion in Asia.

  • The New Turkish Code of Obligations: Important Changes for Leases of Residential & Business Premises

    For decades, the primary Turkish laws governing leases of residential and business premises have been the Law on Leasing Real Property dated May 27, 1955 (the “Lease Law”) and the Turkish Code of Obligations No. 818 dated April 22, 1926 (the “Obligations Code”). Both of these laws, however, will be repealed and replaced with the new Turkish Code of Obligations No. 6098 dated January 11, 2011 (the “New Obligations Code”), which will enter into force on July 7, 2012.
