Position

Sukhpal is an experienced employment lawyer who provides advice to a broad range of commercial and individual clients. His main area of expertise includes TUPE and he also has experience of advising on redundancy and the exit of senior level executives.

Recent employment experience includes:

  • Advising a major international IT business on the TUPE transfer of several hundred staff;
  • Advising a client in the financial services sector on how to deal with the threat of industrial action by a Trade Union;
  • Advising a corporate client on the termination of an executive director who was also a shareholder in the business; and
  • Advising a client in the financial services sector as to the termination of employment of an approved person for the purposes of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000.

In addition to being an employment lawyer, Sukhpal is also a notary public and provides notarial and legalisation services.

Notarial work includes:

  • Advising companies and individuals as to the steps to take to ensure that documents requiring notarisation will be accepted in the receiving country;
  • Notarising various types of documents including powers of attorney, affidavits, statutory declarations and company and commercial documents; and
  • Acting for commercial clients including two of the largest cosmetics brands in the world as well as a major high street bank and various Plc’s.
