Position

John C. LaMaster is a partner in Akin Gump’s global energy transactions group. He advises energy companies in a broad range of international mergers, acquisitions and divestitures; joint ventures; project development; and related activities. Over the course of three decades, John has worked with clients in energy markets around the world, often in emerging markets with difficult geopolitical circumstances. He handles energy matters involving upstream, midstream, and downstream oil and gas; electricity generation; biofuels; and chemicals.
