Harry Keegan’s practice focuses on international mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions, with a particular emphasis on emerging markets. Mr Keegan has previously been seconded to two investment banks. He also advises issuers on continuing obligations and corporate governance issues and has spoken on specialist equity capital market topics at London Stock Exchange conferences in the UK and Russia.

Mr Keegan also has considerable experience in international mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and private equity transactions, across a range of sectors, involving numerous countries including in Russia and CIS, Africa, the Middle East, India, Europe and North America.

Its team is also particularly active in Russia-related deals; Igor Krivoshekov and David Sewell have previous experience of working in Moscow, and are the key names in this area. The team undertakes deals across a number of industries, such as oil and gas, TMT, mining, biotechnology, financial services. Sewell and Daniel Walsh  led a team, which advised Bridas Corporation on the formation of an energy company through the combination of Bridas' and BP's interests in oil and gas producer PAE, and Bridas' interest in refiner and marketer Axion Energy. Vance Chapman and others assisted Oaktree Capital with selling its controlling shares in the Mars mortgage servicing business to Arrow Global Group. The firm also generates work from clients such as The Carlyle Group, UFG Private Equity and VEON Limited. Harry Keegan and John Clark are other key figures in the team, which is led by Sebastian Rice.

Starting January 1st, 2013, a new tax law (Law No. 822, Tax Concertation Law) came into force in and completely changed the taxation system in Nicaragua. Two years later a new law was issued by the National Assembly containing more than 80 amendments, additions and repeals (Law No 891) which came into force December 18th, 2014.
