Position

Michael A. Asaro is co-head of Akin Gump’s white collar defense and global investigations practice group. He focuses on U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) investigations, white-collar criminal defense, corporate internal investigations and complex commercial litigation. Mr. Asaro has extensive litigation and investigatory experience involving matters arising under the federal securities laws, including insider trading, market manipulation, accounting irregularities, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) violations, and broker-dealer and investment advisor regulation.
