Pérez Alati, Grondona, Benites & Arntsen (“PAGBAM” or the “Firm”) has a very strong commitment to Diversity and Inclusion (“D&I”), understood as equal treatment and opportunities, regardless of ethnic group, country of residence, sexual orientation, race, religion, health, status, disability, gender and/or age. Both with internal practices and external legal counseling, PAGBAM is committed to strengthening D&I, especially focusing on matters regarding people with disabilities and members of the LGTBIQA+ community.

The Firm is part of the founding members of the Diversity & Inclusion Committee of the Bar Association of the City of Buenos Aires, created at the beginning of 2022, and also has its own internal Diversity & Inclusion Committee, which is composed by a group of lawyers diversing in gender, age and seniority.

We carry out internal training with our members to strengthen the Diversity and Inclusion Policy, covering the different aspects of the D&I policies that we actively apply, including workshops with one of our clients that have been very successful.On the other hand, for more than ten years, PAGBAM has been carrying out very significant work in connection to the inclusion of people with disabilities, such as: (i) diffusion and proclamation of the right to the accessibility of people with motor disability; and (ii) access to justice for people with intellectual disabilities and, to a greater extent, those who suffer from Autism Spectrum Disorder.

One of our last projects was with the Rotary Club of Montserrat, called “Autismo Red”.

Autismo Red is a humanitarian service project and aims to be the first global network that connects members of the Spanish-speaking autism spectrum community, so that they:

  1. relate to each other, and share experiences and needs;
  2. facilitate access to information;
  3. provide support through the exchange of opinions, experiences, and treatments;
  4. facilitate the dissemination of small organizations linked to autism:
  5. families do not feel alone and accompany each other in the search for a better quality of life for people with autism.

The Firm has collaborated on aspects related to privacy and the protection of personal data to carry out the project, preparing documents such as the Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy, and advising on general content issues.
It was a project within the framework of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion of great impact, which in Argentina reaches 2,000,000 beneficiaries in stage 1 and in the world 78 million families involved in autism, will be able to connect to Autismo Red.

In addition, we took part in two seminars led by Google: “Coming Out Stars”, during Pride month; and “I am remarkable”, about the importance of acceptance and diversity in the workplace.

D&I is a core value and belief of the Firm. PAGBAM is looking forward to keep working, through its leaders and the Diversity & Inclusion Committee, in internal and external D&I matters.
