Career

Mark has worked within Court of Protection since qualification as a Solicitor and has worked alongside a Property & Affairs Deputy in all their guises: a solely named Deputy, a Joint Deputy, and a Trust Corporation acting as Deputy. Mark is involved soon after capacity evidence is obtained in a compensation claim preparing the documentation for the appointment of a Deputy to the Court of Protection which also helps to get a real understanding of the challenges the client is facing. Managing his clients’ finances whilst working closely with other professionals including case managers, physiotherapists, specialist architects and social workers ensure that the client receives the co-ordinated care and support that they require.

Prior to qualification as a Solicitor, Mark also worked within the field of legal costs and completed qualification as a Costs Lawyer in 2013.
