Position

Throughout his time with the firm Leonard has been involved in dealing with litigation and employment matters, with the major proportion of his work having been in defence litigation, dealing with all types of claims, mainly on behalf of insurers. Leonard specialises in high-value catastrophic claims arising mainly out of road traffic, farming and construction site accidents. He also advises insurers in relation to other matters such as property claims, indemnity issues, policy disputes and health and safety matters.

Trained John McKee & Son; qualified 1980; Partner at McKees – 1983 to date, Senior partner 2008; Deputy County Court Judge 1998 to date; President of Solicitors’ Disciplinary Tribunal;  occasional tutor at Institute of Professional Legal Studies and Law Society Advocacy Course;
