Position

Philip is a member of the firm’s banking team and as such represents Banks and other financial institutions advising on all aspects of security documentation, banking law and insolvency issues. He became a partner in 2014. He also acts for a number of insolvency practitioners in administrations and administrative receiverships and for numerous fixed charge receivers. The focus of much of this work is the management and sale of distressed property assets. Philip obtained his Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency (CPI) in 2013, a qualification that is recognised both inside and outside the insolvency profession as reflecting competence in that field of expertise. In the last number of years Philip has worked closely with a Solar PV firm in bringing solar panels to the residential and commercial property market in Northern Ireland. Philip also has expertise in all aspects of Intellectual Property law having obtained a Masters degree in Computers and Law and working for Allstate Northern Ireland as a Business Analyst. Philip heads up the firm’s intellectual property and IT team.
