Position

Steph is a Higher Court advocate and has ten years’ experience of defending in the Magistrates’ Court, Crown Court and at interviews under caution.  

As a specialist regulatory advocate she advises and represents local authorities, health trusts, agricultural clients, public bodies, corporate and private commercial clients in relation to investigations, prosecutions, inquest and enforcement proceedings brought by the HSE, police, Environment Agency, OFSTED, Gangmasters Licensing Authority, Trading Standards and the CPS.  

She assists clients to manage detailed and thorough investigations by the police and the HSE.  She regularly appears before the Magistrates in relation to the full range of health and safety offences and Coroners Court in relation to workplace fatalities.  She has been involved on numerous occasions in advising clients during corporate manslaughter investigations. 

Stephanie regularly appears in the Magistrates’ Court, First Tier Tribunal and at Inquests.

Career

Stephanie joined Browne Jacobson in 2010, prior to which she worked as a Criminal Litigator for three years and later as a specialist regulatory and health & safety Lawyer.
