Position

Dominic is a general commercial property lawyer with 10 years’ experience acting for some of the biggest property names both in the North West and nationally. 

Locally he is known for acting for the developer on the Omega development at Warrington negotiating pre lets for 1.6 million square feet of logistics and distribution space occupied by Hermes Parcelnet, Brakes and Travis Perkins and their subsequent forward sale to institutional funds. 

Dominic’s clients include the Homes and Communities Agency, YHA England and Wales (for whom he advises on all strategic property matters) and education sector bodies

Dominic was recognised by his peers by being shortlisted as Made in Manchester’s solicitor of the year for 2016.

The team advised Homes England on the regeneration of a 43-acre former brownfield site at Northfleet Embankment on the Thames. The team also acts for a number of schools on their conversion to academies, which involves a range of real estate-related issues. Guildford Borough Council, YHA (England and Wales), Renold and Burnley Council are clients. Recently promoted partner Dominic Buckley heads the team, which includes Victoria Thourgood, who is experienced in advising on health and social care-related real estate matters.
