Barry Sully (partner) was appointed as deputy head of the property department in November 2018 and is also head of our development and housing team. With over 25 years’ experience, he specialises in development land disposals and acquisitions, joint ventures, urban regeneration, complex site assembly, mixed-use schemes and housing projects.

Acting for developers, landowners, local authorities and housing associations, Barry understands the priorities and perspectives of these sectors (or is a “poacher turned gamekeeper” as one client likes to describe him). In an era of greater partnering between sectors, Barry uses this experience to help clients find workable solutions. He knows what the market will and will not accept; what works and what doesn’t.
