Position

Jonathan is an experienced Defendant clinical negligence specialist and a Nominated Partner for NHS Resolution and is based in our Birmingham office. He specialises in high end claims especially around neurological, obstetric and gynaecological matters.

He has a particular interest in quantum and alternative forms of dispute resolution, working closely with a number of claimant firms to achieve earlier resolution on NHS cases.

Career

Jonathan is a Partner and Divisional Lead in the Health Advisory and Litigation Department. He is a medical malpractice and clinical negligence lawyer with particular expertise in adult neurological claims and group litigation. Jonathan has been an NHS Resolution Nominated Partner since 2017 and is the lead partner for a number of NHS Trusts.

Jonathan has worked in the field of clinical negligence and medical malpractice since 1998 and for Defendant insurers and NHS Resolution since 2004. He has recently advised in a successful appeal to the Court of Appeal in a case that has profound consequences for secondary victim claims in clinical negligence contexts.
