Heather advises a wide range of European, Asian and US clients on the tax aspects of corporate real estate deals, including acquisitions, residential and commercial developments, joint ventures and disposals.
Her clients include corporates, pension funds and wealthy individuals. In addition to direct taxes, Heather has expertise in VAT and stamp taxes. She also structures private equity real estate and debt funds and advises in relation to general M&A. She has broad experience of international structuring and advises on the impact of the OECD and EU BEPS initiatives, the diverted profits tax and managing reputational risk. In addition, she advises on tax aspects of cryptocurrencies and ICOs. Heather gives clear, concise advice. She works hard to understand fully her clients’ objectives and strives to ensure deals are completed.
Heather trained at and was an associate at Norton Rose, was a partner at King & Wood Mallesons LLP (formerly SJ Berwin LLP) for 19 years and joined Forsters as a partner in 2016.
She is a Chartered Tax Adviser.
