Position

Yan Chng is a senior associate in our litigation, insolvency and restructuring practice in Singapore.

She has experience advising and acting for listed corporations, individuals, directors, shareholders and liquidators in complex commercial litigation and arbitration proceedings, involving breach of fiduciary duties, misappropriation, conspiracy, trust disputes, minority oppression and unfair preference claims.

Career

Yan joined a leading Singapore firm as a practice trainee in 2015. Upon qualifying as an advocate and solicitor in Singapore in 2016, Yan continued as an associate at the firm, where she represented clients on a wide array of commercial disputes, with emphasis on insolvency litigation, shareholders disputes and general commercial disputes. She also regularly advised financial institutions and multinational corporations on regulatory, debt enforcement and employment matters. Yan joined Carey Olsen in 2020.

Yan is admitted as a solicitor of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court (BVI) and is enrolled as a Registered Associate in the Supreme Court of Bermuda. She is also admitted as a solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales (non-practising).
