Alexandra is a Partner in our Cayman Islands Corporate and Finance practice and specialises in banking and finance work.


Alexandra frequently advises many of the world’s leading finance institutions and private fund sponsors on the structuring and execution of finance transactions and restructurings involving secured lending to Cayman Islands companies, partnerships and unit trusts (including hedge funds and private equity funds). She has extensive experience on fund finance matters and has worked on some of the largest and most high-profile cross-border consensual restructurings.


Before joining Mourant, Alexandra was Partner at another offshore law firm in the Cayman Islands for 12 years.

Prior to moving offshore, she worked at Bingham McCutchen LLP in London.

Responsibility for leading the group is shared between Hayden Isbister and the ‘exceptionalAlexandra Woodcock, both of whom have proven track records in private equity downstream transactions as well as fund-related finance matters. Elsewhere in the team, Neal Lomax, Ramesh Maharaj and Alex Last are highly regarded in the field, while at counsel level, Finn Howie and Andrew Grant regularly provide assistance on the group’s headline transactions.
