Paul has developed a specialism in the various uses of limited liability partnerships (for example in real estate joint venture and renewable energy project structuring), general partnerships (whether they are used as trading vehicles or as components in broader corporate structures) and Scottish limited partnerships (“SLPs”).

He regularly deals with SLPs, for example, when they are used:

  • in private equity or real estate fund structuring;
  • as components in structures aimed at indirect investment in high value real estate assets; or
  • for insertion into the group structures of listed companies (whether aimed at facilitating viable acquisition structures for further expansion, creating a more efficient management and operational structure or otherwise).
