Career

Claire trained (2002-2004) and worked at Manchester’s leading firm for family law, Pannone LLP, until the firm merged with Slater & Gordon.  Claire worked closely with Andrew Newbury for more than a decade, acting for numerous celebrities and entrepreneurs, and being regularly involved in financial disputes where the issues were complex, unusual and technical.Claire joined Hall Brown in July 2017, since which time she has continued to act for people of media interest and champions of industry.   She was made a Partner in 2019. Claire has a particular specialism in divorce and high net worth financial remedy proceedings, regularly leading on cases with wealth in excess of £15 million, and those involving multiple jurisdictions, foreign assets / trusts, and ‘contingent assets’.

Claire has significant technical expertise.  She has acted as an expert in overseas divorce financial proceedings, including giving evidence to the Federal Court of Australian.  She regularly lectures to fellow lawyers and the wider legal/business community, and contributes to legal and non-legal publications including the Family Law Journal, Family Law, The Daily Telegraph, the Daily Mail, and other mainstream media.
