As a partner at Grayfords, Neil is hugely experienced in family law. He has particular expertise in cases involving large or complex assets and those with an international dimension or proceedings in more than one country.


He brings decades of family law experience to Grayfords, having previously been a Director at Vardags Law, as well as having previously worked for Fiona Shackleton at Payne Hicks Beach in Lincoln’s Inn.

He was involved in the reported cases of Sorrell -v- Sorrell [2005] EWHC 1717 (Fam), Bentinck -v- Bentinck [2007] EWCA Civ 175 NG -v- KR (Pre-Nuptial Contract) [2008] EWHC 1532 (Fam), for example, and has similarly been involved in some of the most complex unreported cases.

He is a seasoned litigator with a wealth of experience and excellent technical skills.  With an eye for detail, yet able to see the overall picture he is also an advocate of resolving cases amicably, rapidly, and with as much dignity as possible, especially where children are involved.

Starting January 1st, 2013, a new tax law (Law No. 822, Tax Concertation Law) came into force in and completely changed the taxation system in Nicaragua. Two years later a new law was issued by the National Assembly containing more than 80 amendments, additions and repeals (Law No 891) which came into force December 18th, 2014.
