Hamish studied Law at University and trained and worked as a commercial property lawyer in the City for eight years before moving to head up the Property Law section of Thames Water in the aftermath of privatisation in the early 1990s.

In 1996, Hamish established his own practice in Guildford which merged with Gordons in 1998. He is now the managing partner of Gordons, based principally in our Guildford office. As well as running the Firm, Hamish still finds time to run a broad property practice dealing with both commercial and residential property. His work includes commercial landlord and tenant and helping numerous sports clubs, businesses and individuals with their property requirements.

Hamish is an accomplished negotiator and is in demand for his ability to combine humour, common sense and clarity to get difficult projects over the line.
