Paul Samartin is a Director (Senior Partner) and head of the US immigration practice at Ganguin Samartin. Paul has close to 15 years of professional experience in US immigration law and is highly regarded in leading legal publications, including Chambers Global, Who’s Who Legal and Legal 500. Paul focuses on business, investment, entertainment and personal immigration to the US, providing in-depth advice to SMEs, large multinational corporations, production companies and private individuals on a wide-range of US immigration issues. Paul’s extensive knowledge and experience has resulted in him obtaining visas and resolving issues at US consular posts throughout the world.

As an expert in his field, Paul is regularly invited to speak on US immigration matters and is actively involved in the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). He is currently Past Chair of the AILA Rome District Chapter and a member of AILA’s Athletics, Culture, Entertainment and Science (ACES) working group. In addition, Paul has written a number of articles on US immigration issues for AILA and other publications.

Starting January 1st, 2013, a new tax law (Law No. 822, Tax Concertation Law) came into force in and completely changed the taxation system in Nicaragua.
