Career
James is a Partner in Brachers’ Dispute Resolution team, specialising in property litigation.
He has more than 20 years’ experience and after qualifying as a Solicitor in 1999, he joined Brachers in 2002. He became a Partner in 2012.
James specialises in:
- Property and land ownership disputes
- Rights over land
- Landlord and tenant issues
- Professional negligence
- Representing clients at mediation and before tribunals, County Court, High Court and Court of Appeal
- Preparing applications for new alcohol and entertainment licenses
- Disputes relating to existing licensed premises
- Licensing of sports and recreational facilities
He regularly advises companies, charities, colleges, NHS Trusts and individuals in relation to all aspects of property-related disputes.
He also has experience in a range of other litigation areas including general contract, disputed wills, debt recovery, insolvency and consumer law.
