Louisa is a partner with over 14 years experience in commercial litigation, specialising in complex contractual disputes, warranty and indemnity claims, commercial fraud, professional negligence and supply and distribution issues. Her clients include multinational companies, with a particular focus on the retail and consumer, manufacturing and pharmaceutical sectors.

Louisa’s practice also includes product disputes and she regularly advises clients on product recalls, product liability claims and group actions.

Louisa has significant experience of running large litigation cases in the English High Court, and of resolving claims through mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution.

Examples of recent cases and experience include:

- acting for the Leipzig water authority against UBS in a complex $350m credit derivatives dispute;

- acting for a major pharmaceutical company in defence of a product liability group action.

- acting for a private equity house in a breach of warranty and misrepresentation claim against the former vendors of one of its portfolio businesses;

- recently seconded as acting deputy general counsel to an international mining plc, where responsibilities included managing an SFO investigation;

- advising three charitable trusts in a professional negligence claim against legal advisers;

Two years later a new law was issued by the National Assembly containing more than 80 amendments, additions and repeals (Law No 891) which came into force December 18th, 2014.
