'A market leader' according to clients, Addleshaw Goddard delivers 'outstanding service' across public M&A, equity capital markets and private equity, as well as corporate real estate deals. Private equity specialist Andrew Green  led advice for Inflexion Private Equity Partners  on its £800m investment in Radius Payments Solutions and Sheelley McGivern  led WBHO on the acquisition of a significant minority stake in Byrne Group. Roger Hart represented Zeus Capital on the £130m accelerated bookbuild and private placement fundraising conducted by Boohoo.com and is leading advice for Sumo Group in relation to its proposed IPO on AIM.  Duncan Wilson advised the shareholders of Piriform Group on the sale of the company to Avast Software. Peel Group, Clinigen, Dixons Carphone and The Hut are also clients.  The 'brilliant' Richard Lee,  private equity team head Paul Medlicott  and legal director Jamie Partridge  are also recommended, as are managing associates Jemma Clarke  and George Danczak , and department head Michael Birchall, who specialises in M&A and corporate finance mandates. Addleshaw Goddard‚Äôs ‚Äėresponsive‚Äô team demonstrates ‚Äėclear industry knowledge‚Äô, delivers ‚Äėpragmatic advice‚Äô and is particularly noted for its experience in waste and energy infrastructure projects. The team, which works closely with its national network of offices, is advising NWE2 on the proposed Northern Tidal Power Gateways (NTPG) infrastructure development project, which would involve the development and construction of a series of tidal barrage systems across Morecambe Bay and the Duddon Estuary. The team also advised Somerset County Council on a ¬£200m long term waste treatment contract with Viridor and advised Greater Manchester Combined Authority on the establishment of its Evergreen 2 and Low Carbon funds to apply European Regional Development Funds to North West projects. Michael O‚ÄôConnor¬†heads the projects, infrastructure and energy group and is experienced across PPP and project finance matters. Legal directors Rob Thompson, who is active across energy and waste sector mandates, and Julie Hodkinson¬†, who is noted for renewable energy projects, are key members of the team. Andrew Maskill¬†and Rebecca Williams¬†handle banking and finance transactions in the energy sector, and Paul Dight, who is also based in the firm‚Äôs Leeds office, specialises in the development of energy infrastructure and advises on energy regulation.
