Matthew is a solicitor, partner and head of finance and litigation at Serious Injury Law Ltd. He has vast experience in dealing with very serious debilitating injury cases, specialising in injury cases involving spinal cord damage, brain and serious orthopaedic injuries. Matthew specialises in cases involving complex and technical liability issues, and regularly achieves success in cases previously rejected by other law firms.

Career

Trained Betesh, Fox & Co (Bolton) and Sherrington Law (Bolton) (formerly Sherrington & Co), qualified 1998. Partner 1998. Matthew has specialised in the field of personal injury cases for 30 years and in that time has successfully concluded many thousands of claims. He has extensive experience in dealing with cases of the utmost severity, and particular expertise in cases involving very difficult liability and causation issues. He trained with Betesh Fox and Co before becoming a founding member of Serious Law in 1989. Since 1998, Matthew has been the head of litigation at Serious Law and has continued to handle a varied caseload of high value multi-track cases. Matthew has a dual qualification, first as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 1995 and then as a solicitor in 1998, the year that he became a partner in Serious Law LLP.
