McCue Jury & Partners LLP is internationally well known for human rights work, victim class actions, and public-interest-litigation.  It is also known for its expertise in transitional justice and conflict resolution, cross-border asset recovery, and for its representation of and negotiation on behalf of UK prisoners abroad and political prisoners worldwide.  The firm has become a valued and confidential adviser to public and private sector clients including governments (or opposition parties), international bodies (eg, United Nations/African Union), NGOs, corporations, and individuals.

Jason McCue (The Law Society of England & Wales’ Solicitor of the Year 2009-10 and shortlisted for the Lifetime Achievement Award 2021) and Matthew Jury (Highly Commended The Law Society Human Rights Solicitor of the Year 2021 and previously shortlisted for both Solicitor of the Year and Junior Solicitor of the Year 2013) founded McCue Jury & Partners in 2011.

The firm has developed a network of renowned experts/consultants (legal and non-legal – who regularly provide ad hoc support to the legal team) in its practice areas but also in the diplomacy, strategic communications, investigation, and intelligence sectors.

The partners are founders of: Ebro Global (www.ebroglobal.com), a not for profit multi-disciplinary consultancy that provides strategic advice to governments, international organisations and corporates, and Rigel (www.rigelcorporation.com), a corporate advisory that provides litigation support (investigations, intelligence, PR, lobbying, private diplomacy) to McCue Jury & Partners.

The firm’s internal litigation support department (fluctuating between 10-20 non lawyer personnel) provides the legal team with an edge on other firms and a world leading capability.  It also provides the law firm with a broader vision, a holistic approach, and a diverse capability for the benefit of its clients.

The firm is known for taking on (in international courts and domestic courts all over the world) difficult public interest litigation on behalf of its clients.  They have taken on such cases against governments, rogue regimes, genocidaires, infamous human rights abusers, terrorists/terrorist organisations (sponsors and financiers), and corporate corruption and criminality.

McCue Jury & Partners’ present and former clients include: victims of terrorism worldwide (in cases against, inter alia, ISIS, the IRA, HAMAS, Al-Aqsa Martyrs, and ANO; victims of rogue regimes (in cases against/concerning) Iran, Assad/Syria, Muammar al-Gaddafi/Libya); numerous African, M.E. and Asian governments; British Army veterans who served in Northern Ireland; families of British soldiers killed in Iraq; political prisoners and detainees (in, most recently, Iran, the Middle-East, Belarus and South Sudan); Ukrainian government and victims of the Russian war; victims of racism, harassment and discrimination by public authorities (incl. the Metropolitan Police Service); victims of News International phone hacking; whistle-blowers against corporate malpractice and criminality; UK prisoners abroad throughout the Middle East, Africa, Asia and the Caribbean; Rohingya victims of genocide.

COMPANY/FIRM: McCue Jury & Partners

Their efforts are greatly appreciated by myself and my entire organisation.

COMPANY/FIRM: McCue Jury & Partners
TESTIMONIAL: I cannot commend the legal firm of McCue, Jury & team highly enough. No doubt that they identify their legal input, as: ‘ordinary work’ for them, in doggedly representing me through a complex legacy legal process, it is my opinion that it was: ‘ordinary work, extraordinarily well done’, which exemplified their extremely high standards of the legal work they undertake in support of all of their clients, not just my Case.

CLIENT: Mark Tipper
COMPANY/FIRM:
TESTIMONIAL: How do you sum up or put together a testimonial about the finest law firm in the UK.

It’s 7 1/2 years since I met Matt Jury and his wonderful team, not once have they ever failed in their fight for justice. This shows the dignity of the company when Matt attends the 40th Anniversary of the Hyde Park Bombing and still showing support to these families. He gained us justice in the high court and he is still fighting our corner with other injustices that are still on going.

This law firm is without doubt a credit to the British Justice System.

In my personal opinion I would advise anyone who has lost loved ones to a terrorist atrocity to seek guidance from Matt and his great colleagues.

TESTIMONIAL: I have been a client for many years, and I am very glad I chose this firm. I have always found Matthew, Emma, Alex, and the team on hand at any time, and I have always been regularly updated with the progress of my case. The case itself has been protracted and complicated, but this has never been an issue.

The legal advice I have been given is always accurate and correct, and any instructions I have given are always acted upon quickly. I am certainly glad I retained McCue Jury and Partners to deal with my case.

COMPANY/FIRM:

TESTIMONIAL: This is just a small correspondence to thank everyone at McCue, Jury & Partners for all of the work, past and present, that you have done for the Hyde Park families. I could not have wished for a finer legal team to have represented us through our darkest times in this case, from our first meeting to our eventual trial at the high court.

The families would like to pay gratitude for all of the time and hard work that went into our civil trial and the outcome that we so much appreciated.

CLIENT: Ali Hamza

COMPANY/FIRM:

TESTIMONIAL: The team has been enthusiastically forthcoming to support us as clients when our cases were challenging and revealed jurisdictions gaps, with very helpful and resourceful international networking to bridge gaps, also very creative and flexible regarding financial needs enabling us a sense of accommodation rarely found elsewhere. The team is very aligned revealing only more encouraging unfoldings and surprises, always listened to feedback including empathetically and very sensibly attending to our thoughts and feelings, making very decent efforts to accommodate our needs whenever possible.
