Culture and Values

Signature Litigation are, as a progressive law firm, motivated by the vision of a work culture underpinned by an appreciation for each individual’s wider contribution to the business. Signature promotes a culture of equality and cohesion in a working environment where all members of the team feel valued and respected, not only for their legal skills and expertise, but also for their wider commitment to the firm. We strive to promote our shared values which include integrity and professionalism; equality of opportunity and equal participation; respect for views and ideas; professional development; collective contribution; and collective reward.

All Signature team members have an equal voice in the business and are actively involved in how the firm is run. Signature has effectively transferred economic ownership in the firm away from the traditional model of equity partners towards every member of the practice.  We have developed and implemented the first truly transparent, non-discretionary and universally applicable profit-sharing structure in the legal market.  Put simply, Signature is governed by the combined voices of all our people – with guaranteed rights for everyone to enjoy in our success, financial and otherwise, and to ensure that our unique culture remains entirely protected.

Partnerships and Giving Back

All members of the Signature team are encouraged to give something back to the legal and social communities in which we operate. The Partners and Associates at Signature regularly participate in charitable work and fundraising.  We are involved in various fundraising events supporting the London Legal Support Trust and each year donate to a charity chosen by the firm's members.  For 2016, the firm’s chosen charity is Samaritans – an organisation devoted to providing support to those in emotional distress and at risk of suicide. Signature also has a close relationship with School Home Support, a charity which supports disadvantaged children, and their families, within our local schools. Furthermore, Partner Natalia Chumak is the Founder and a Trustee of UK animal welfare charity LAPA, which helps animals in Russia.

Additionally, our team members also participate in pro bono work, and a number of our Associates attend weekly advice sessions at the Waterloo Legal Advice Service, a pro bono advice centre in London. In particular, our Founding Partner Graham Huntley has a long standing commitment to pro bono work. He is a trustee of several charities, including the London Legal Support Trust, the Royal Courts of Justice Advice Bureau and the Capital Cases Charitable Trust (of which he is Chairman) among other pro bono projects.
