Patricia is the practice head and supervising solicitor for the Manchestr and Leeds office.  She has a wealth of experience of the criminal justice system, having represented clients from the police station through to the court proceedings.   An excellent communicator, well respected by colleagues and clients alike and her love of the job does not diminish with time.

Patricia places great emphasis on client care and her excellent record of securing positive results for clients is an enviable one.  She joined GT Stewart Solicitors & Advocates in early 2018 after working for many years at several well respected criminal defence firms.  She holds her Higher Rights of Audience which allows her to defend clients as their cases progress through the criminal justice system.  She has litigated on the full range of criminal cases and has a particular interest in representing young clients in the Youth Court.  She supervises a team of solicitors at both the Leeds and Manchester office, all of whom have excellent records of securing positive results for their clients, with a strong emphasic on client care.

Managing partner Greg Stewart is a recognised expert in representing young people in the criminal justice system. Patricia Walker, who is the key litigator at the firm, has over 20 years of criminal defence experience. She is supported by Philip Mahoney, whose experience includes defending individuals against prosecutions brought by agencies such as the RSPCA and the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP). Michelle Stewart joined in October 2020, expanding the group’s offering in serious crime and sexual offences, firearms, motoring offences and prosecutions on behalf of the DWP and the Environmental Agency.
