Andrew Pedley joined Blacks Solicitors in 2021 as a Partner in the Real Estate team.

Andrew qualified as a Solicitor in 1998 and has over 20 years’ experience in commercial property, having previously been a Partner at a West Yorkshire practice and prior to that working in the Leeds and Manchester offices of an international law firm.

During his career in real estate, Andrew has dealt with a broad range of transactions which has allowed him to develop the skills needed to quickly obtain client and sector specific knowledge, as well as the ability to provide innovative solutions.

He has provided advice to both the public and private sectors having carried out work as part of specialist teams focused on both residential and commercial development projects, and work for higher education institutions. His clients have ranged from SMEs and individual landowners to international PLCs and government departments.

His experience includes buying and selling investment properties, all aspects of portfolio management, real estate finance work, transactions involving mines and minerals and the property aspects of corporate transactions.

His development work is at a regional and national level, both in the residential and commercial sectors, where he provides advice on site assembly, build out, forward sale, occupation and finance.

In the past he has acted for a group of national house builders seeking to establish a new settlement, the relocation of a university faculty to a landmark north west development and a government department in the development and occupation of a shared campus facility.
