Position

Oliver is a partner in the corporate group and specialises in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and equity capital markets. He regularly advises on IPOs and secondary issues, either acting for the company or investment bank, with a particular emphasis on the investment funds sector. Oliver also has considerable experience advising on mergers and acquisitions, with a particular focus on the real estate and technology sectors. Recent experience includes: advising GCP Student Living plc, the first UK residential REIT, on its IPO on the Specialist Fund Market, raising £70m, and on the subsequent acquisitions of ‘The Pad’ and ‘Scape Greenwich’, and associated secondary fundraising by way of a placing, open offer and offer for subscription, raising £42m; advising N+1 in its capacity as sponsor and brother to Skyepharma PLC on its first placing, placing an open offer raising £112m; advising Waters Corporation, a New York Stock Exchange-listed company, on the acquisition of Nonlinear Dynamics; advising BlackRock North American Income Trust plc on its main market listing and £65m fundraising by way of a placing and offer for subscription, placing programme to raise up to £17m and ‘C’ Share issue that raised £15.5m; advising Universities Superannuation Scheme on the sale of 5% of the corporate structure that owns Eden Walk shopping centre, Kingston to British Land.
