“I’m proud that with my team, over the last ten years, we have built one of the leading UK practices advising international mining companies.”
As a corporate finance partner Charles Bond is always on the lookout to help his clients develop their business, whether through the investment of equity capital, a merger, or through acquisition. Clients in the mining sector and in the oil and gas sector – in which he principally operates – benefit from his wide network of connections across the globe to source new money and find growth opportunities.
Charles brings considerable experience to every transaction, having spent ten years as a corporate lawyer within a major international London-based law firm, before heading to a leading equity capital markets and M&A team.
Experience
Charles spent ten years, including one in Asia, as a corporate lawyer within a major international law firm in London working for a diverse range of public and private corporates, before heading a leading equity capital markets and M&A team in the resources sector for eleven years, including four years at the Canadian firm Gowlings. He has helped numerous companies float their business on the London and Toronto markets, raise secondary funding and execute their public and private M&A strategies, such as Hummingbird Resources, Stellar Diamonds, United Cacao, CIC Gold Group, Timan Oil & Gas plc, Mytrah Energy, CDialogues and Aureus Mining,
In addition, he has also advised various nominated advisers and brokers, such as Royal Bank of Canada, Strand Hanson, VSA Capital and Shore Capital. Recently in a depressed resources market he has helped clients take advantage of investment opportunities, advising on minority and Rule 9 investments for clients such as Trafigura and AGR Energy into listed entities such as EMED Mining, Max Petroleum and Tethys Petroleum.
