Career

After an initial career in corporate banking, structured finance and treasury at British Rail/Railtrack plc, Melanie trained as a solicitor at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and worked at Addleshaw Goddard and Rosenblatt.  Melanie has a wealth of experience advising on a range of complex commercial property matters.  She has recently advised on a number of multi-million-pound strategic development acquisitions and disposals.  Prior to joining DJB, Melanie was an in-house Solicitor at One Housing in London, responsible for bringing all of their commercial property work in house.  She also has experience of working with blue-chip clients, high-value lease work, portfolio management, business sales and purchases and refinancing matters.  One client recently told the Legal 500 that Melanie Greer-Walker was, ‘the best lawyer we have ever worked with’.
