Following its merger with Redd, Wiggin LLP has been considered 'top of its game in the media copyright-trade mark world', and attracts praise for its 'breadth of expertise in intellectual property and the media sector'. The group is instructed by Cartier International, Montblanc-Simplo and Richemont International in an appeal to the Supreme Court brought by BT and EE relating to website blocking orders. Rachel Alexander and Simon Baggs — who have both attracted praise for being 'very commercial, strategic and conscientious lawyers' — are leading this matter which concerned issues of who should bear associated coasts of blocking subscribers to access websites selling counterfeit products. In another work highlight, the team is representing Warner Music and Sony Music Entertainment in a copyright claim against TuneIn concerning radio transmission streaming. Baggs heads the practice which includes Anna Carboni, who is recommended for trade mark and copyright matters; Sara Ashby, who is a 'fantastic litigator'; and Simon Chalkley who is noted for transactional IP matters. Other key clients include Microsoft, Netflix and Gucci.
