Weightmans LLP is recognised as one of the leading advisers to NHS healthcare bodies in all areas of litigation. The highest value and most complex claims arising from healthcare provision often feature on the practice's diverse caseload, where maximum severity catastrophic injuries (such as adult and birth brain injury and spinal damage cases) appear alongside group claims. Department head Rachel  Kneale focuses primarily but by no means exclusively in high value obstetric and neurological cases. Work involving difficult quantum claims is a key strength for Vanessa Splaine, who also has extensive experience representing clinicians at inquests. Isobel Michie  handles an impressive caseload of maximum severity catastrophic injury claims, including several cerebral palsy claims and highly-sensitive cases.
