 Melanie Steed is a principal associate in the employment, pensions and immigration team, based in the Leeds office.
 She has acted for all kinds of employers during her career, from large PLCs and household name employers through to owner managed businesses and senior execs.
 She has particular expertise in the education sector, having joined Weightmans from her most recent role as a senior in-house lawyer at The University of Leeds where she worked hand in hand with her senior management, human resources and governance colleagues to manage a whole range of staff and institutional related issues.
 Melanie deals with all contentious and non-contentious employment matters, including employment tribunals, employee relations and transactional work.
 She has a strong reputation amongst her clients and peers for giving pragmatic and commercial advice in a way which is direct and accessible as well as for being easy to work alongside.
