Position

Jawaid is a Partner in the employment team at Weightmans and Regional Office Head in Birmingham. He also heads the firm’s flagship HR Rely retainer product.

His areas of specialism include equal pay, advising on the legal implications of implementing new pay structures, industrial relations issues and large scale restructures. He also has considerable experienced defending cases against Embassies. He services many of our clients’ international needs through our Legalink framework.

His clients include household names in the Hospitality sector alongside many others such as London Business School and the Kuwait Embassy.

Career

AstraZeneca 1997 – Various commercial roles in the Pharmaceutical Industry including marketing, training, management. Trained Eddowes Waldron, Derby; qualified 2007; associate Weightmans 2010; partner 2014. Publications of note: Expert’s Guide, the Municipal Journal, Money Marketing, HR Magazine and is often quoted in the leading press such as The Times.
