Position
Tim is head of Weightmans’ London office and leads the firm’s relationship with its large corporate clients.
He specialises in employment and professional regulatory work with a particular interest in whistleblowing, DPA, FOIA and discrimination claims as well as all aspects of healthcare and local authority employment work. Tim has acted for the General Medical Council and was the first solicitor to act as lead advocate before their professional conduct committees; he has also acted on behalf of the Health and Safety Executive and the General Teaching Council.
Tim’s employment clients include The Royal Mail Goup, Whitbread Group plc, Pizza Hut UK Limited, Guoman Thistle, Pizza Express, WRB and Tragus as well as Nuffield Health, and a number of local authorities.
Tim’s professional regulatory clients include the Professional Standards Authority, who is charged with scrutinizing and overseeing the work of the nine healthcare regulatory bodies.
Tim is a member of Association Regulatory and Disciplinary Lawyers, Health & Safety Lawyers Association, Disciplinary Lawyers Association, a committee member of the Institute of Directors (West Midlands) and former world-ranked tennis player.
