Position

Sarah is a Partner and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives with over 17 years’ experience in dealing with healthcare matters, which include advising on and defending clinical negligence cases, as well as catastrophic and sensitive personal injury cases, for NHS Resolution and other private insurers. Sarah is the Team Manager for the Birmingham Healthcare team.

Sarah handles a wide variety of clinical claims, ranging from injuries of maximum severity right through to those which are more relatively straightforward. She also has a particular interest in group litigation, being involved in a group action of over 138 claimants for maxillofacial injuries. This also includes supporting the clients on a range of legal and regulatory issues as well as media, reputational management, patient safety and learning, disclosure duties and the duty of candour

Sarah is also the lead partner for Remedy, our market-leading outsourced healthcare complaints handling service.

Sarah’s breadth of knowledge and experience in respect of both clinical negligence and personal injury has proved invaluable to healthcare clients and she is known for her robust approach, whilst also demonstrating an understanding of the sensitivities of dealing with seriously injured claimants.
