Partner specialising in matters relating to construction projects including procurement issues and is experienced in reviewing and drafting pre-construction agreements, construction contracts, professional appointments, development agreements, framework agreements, warranties, guarantees, bonds and construction disputes. Sarah acts principally for developers, funders, property investors and specialist contractors across a wide range of projects including house building, offices and retail, hospitals and care homes. She has advised employers, contractors, sub-contractors and consultants involved in adjudication, proceedings in the Technology and Construction Court and various forms of alternative dispute resolution (ADR), including mediation.
Recent experience includes advising owners in relation to redevelopment and refurbishment of very high end residential properties in Belgravia; acting for a national housebuilder on the development of a number of new build sites including private and social housing units; acting for a funder advising on all aspects of construction development security in relation to development of a luxury apartment block near Regents Park; acting for developers in relation to various office and business park projects.
Career
Sarah has a degree in mathematics from Imperial College London. She attended the College of Law, London to obtain her legal qualifications. She then qualified as a solicitor in 2002 having trained at Wedlake Bell and became a partner in 2012.
Memberships
She is a member of the Lexis PSL Construction Consulting Editorial Board and the Society of Construction Law. Sarah also regularly sits on the Joint Contracts Tribunal (JCT) drafting sub-committee.
