Harvardy, Marieta & Mauren - Attorneys at Law has grown and expanded massively throughout the year. Initially, the firm was well-known for its experience and expertise in handling matters related to e-commerce, which is evidenced from the majority of clients that are prominent start-up companies. Currently, its stable performance has earned it trust from clients and led the firm towards the higher level, with diverse clients on various matters other than e-commerce, such as insurance, construction, horticulture, etc.

Areas of practice: E-commerce: it provides services to various domestic and foreign companies in starting up their online retail and web portal businesses in Indonesia. It is also experienced in handling general corporate and license matters for such businesses, and legally safeguarding the operations of such businesses, as well as assisting clients in arrangement with logistic companies, warehouses, drafting various agreements with suppliers or sellers, and other legal supports.

Investments: it assists clients in the setting up of businesses in Indonesia, both for domestic and foreign investment companies, as well as obtaining its related licenses. The business development division also assists clients in law and regulation compliance for developing client's businesses in Indonesia.

General corporate: the firm provides services to domestic and foreign companies in all its corporate matters, covering all aspects necessary for the establishment and operation of a business in compliance with Indonesian law.

General insurance: its lawyers are experienced in helping one of the leading multinational insurance companies in Indonesia with respect to issues regarding insurance claims, representing them in various legal actions towards their agents, as well as advising them in various issues pertaining to their business operations in Indonesia.

Employment: the firm provides services in all areas of employment. This includes advice and assistance on employment termination, employment and service agreements, employment issues in the context of mergers and acquisitions, and in obtaining relevant working permits and licences for its foreign employees in Indonesia.

Arbitration and alternative disputes settlements: the firm has great expertise in this field. It has represented and assisted clients before various arbitration institutions. Aside from representing clients before arbitral tribunals, it also assists clients in the drafting of arbitration clauses to avoid the unenforceability of such clauses. The team can assist clients in drafting an arbitration clause that is suitable with certain types of transaction. Further, its lawyers also handle enforcement of domestic as well as foreign arbitral awards in Indonesia.

General litigation: the firm assists and represents clients in various disputes before the Indonesian courts (civil, criminal and administrative courts). It assists clients in advising and formulating reliable litigation strategies, reviewing and analysing documents, facts and evidence, drafting various court documents, preparing witnesses and experts, and to present the case. Its lawyers have extensive litigation skills and experiences and are qualified and licensed to act as legal counsel before the Indonesian courts.
