Career

Helena is a partner in the Commercial practice and heads the Employment practice. Having worked as an in-house counsel for two of the world’s largest casino-resorts, she is widely recognized for her experience in the key legal aspects of integrated-resort development and operations.

In her commercial practice, Helena acts for multinational companies as well as for large Chinese private conglomerates and state-owned enterprises across different industries, with a focus on entertainment, consumer retail, technology, hospitality, and financial services.

Her experience includes advising on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, such as cross-border investments, private equity, acquisitions and restructurings, corporate governance, and commercial contracts.

Helena is also recognized as a leading employment lawyer, serving as trusted counsel to companies in contentious and non-contentious labour matters.

Her expertise includes advising on workforce planning strategies, contracts and policies, compensation and benefits, large-scale working permit applications, employee dismissals, and claims. In addition, she has wide ranging experience in strategic employment aspects of acquisitions and restructurings. Helena often provides training to help employers adapt to shifting workforce trends such as inclusion and diversity, workplace safety, and risk management.

Helena is a key contact for PRC clients within the firm.
