Caroline joined Birketts in 2008. She is a Partner and Head of our Private Client Advisory Team in Cambridge.

A well-known and highly regarded lawyer in the region, Caroline has 30 years' experience in all aspects of private client succession planning.  She acts for individuals, families, trustees and beneficiaries in relation to wills, tax planning and probate matters as well as advising on all aspects of trust creation, management and dissolution. Caroline also advises on probate and trust disputes. She also acts in connection with receiverships, powers of attorney and Court of Protection matters.

She is highly regarded by her clients and fellow professionals for her energy, technical skills and practical approach to problem solving.

Birketts LLP has a full service private client practice that handles trusts, tax, succession planning and probate matters. It frequently advises landowners, business executives, trustees and beneficiaries on domestic and offshore trust and tax issues, trust creation and administration, landed estates matters, wills and lifetime planning, inheritance tax and capital gains tax, and Court of Protection applications. Caroline Stenner leads the practice and recently supported a board of trustees with a large shareholding in a family company on tax and trust administration. Senior associate Catherine Bacon is recommended for her tax and trusts work for non-dom and non-resident clients. Senior associate Rachel Winter has a strong following among the local business community and is recommended for Court of Protection applications.
