Philippa joined Birketts in September 2011 having qualified in 2009, she is a Senior Associate in our Corporate Criminal Defence Team.

She specialises as a criminal defence solicitor, advising in relation to all aspects of criminal and regulatory law. Philippa advises and defends companies and individuals who are facing criminal and regulatory investigations and prosecutions in both the Magistrates’ and Crown Courts. Such prosecutions may be brought by various agencies including for example the HSE, Environment Agency, Trading Standards, the RSPCA and VOSA.

Philippa specialises in road transport and regularly represents operator licence holders and transport managers at Public Inquiry.

Philippa is often instructed by local authorities to prosecute matters of ‘fly tipping.’
