Position

Prashant Gupta is a partner in the firm’s corporate department, focusing primarily on capital markets transactions. He represents both issuers and underwriters in various equity and debt capital raising transactions, including initial public offerings, rights issues and QIP offerings, buy-backs, capital restructurings and pre-IPO private placements. He has advised on capital markets transactions that have raised over US$50 billion globally, which include both the largest IPO and bond offerings out of India, as well as the largest secondary trade on the stock exchanges in India.

Chambers and Partners, 2022 views Prashant as ‘Band 1’ in Capital Markets: Equity. IFLR 1000, 2022 see him as a ‘Market Leader’ for Capital Markets. Chambers 2020, quotes a source who said, “Prashant is a no-nonsense lawyer who cuts straight to the point, providing crisp, balanced, commercial and technically correct advice.” He has been recognized by The Economic Times in the prestigious “ET 40 under forty” list of India’s “hottest business leaders” in 2019.
